Chief Technology Officer California or New York, USA As the Chief Technology Officer, you are responsible for defining the technology architecture, standards, and governance processes technology vision, strategy, and its execution at PubMatic. You will have an internal-facing role and an external-facing role. Internally, you will be working with the engineering teams to guide them on key technology decisions, engineering excellence areas, and articulating the technology vision for them. Your internal-facing responsibilities will also include collaborating with product management, customer success, datacenter, and the business development teams in areas of technology and strategic initiatives. You will achieve this by managing the CTO team, which is comprised of senior architects and technologists. Your external-facing role will include customer interactions in the US and Europe, showing them the vision of PubMatic, technical roadmap, futuristic thinking, and participating in industry organizations such as IAB, W3C, and others. You will also be participating in industry events in order to project PubMatic’s technology vision and gather market perspective. You will work closely with other executive leaders to ensure that the company's technology roadmap is aligned with its business strategy. Your role will include understanding industry and technology trends, understanding industry engineering best practices, and then adapting them to make PubMatic’s product offerings better. You will also understand the customer requirements and trends and ensure that the product that we build is top quality and makes the customer happy. You will review the software scale and performance of the PubMatic platform and ideate on how the platform elements can be scaled up at reduced cost, how we can get better performance from PubMatic systems. You will review new and advanced software tools and frameworks, and new hardware architectures with the objective of scaling our ad-serving and analytics systems and making them perform better. You will constantly review the engineering practices at PubMatic and benchmark them against the industry trends; for example, what does world-class software testing look like, what tools are other companies using to accelerate software development to reduce security vulnerabilities, etc. You will meet customers to present the vision of PubMatic, you will understand their needs to map those into technical requirements. Previous experience within Programmatic Advertising and AdTech is essential. Additional Information Return to Office: PubMatic employees throughout the global have returned to our offices via a hybrid work schedule (3 days “in office” and 2 days “working remotely”) that is intended to maximize collaboration, innovation, and productivity among teams and across functions.
